Week in a Nutshell

The Take

Ok. I truly cannot resist a fleece sale. But in my defense, I only took half of it. And I didn’t have any light, pearly grey in the stash, so this baby is definitely admissable.

The De-Stash.

This lovely glowing  creamy white stuff is bargain Romney from last year. Amazing what a pair of combs can do!

The Finished Object.

Kinda cute, eh? It’s stranded, so it’s really thick and squooshy. Got another one in the works already.

And some gratuitous sheep photos-

The boys seem to be adjusting to the shorter days and the colder weather. I know they are pretty well insulated, but I think it’s so odd that they prefer to sleep out in the field rather than their new shed. Silly buggers.

I just came across your blog and love it. I am tamrahill on Ravelry if you are there. It is fun to see what other shepherdess’ are up to -both in and out of the barn. Your boys are adorable!

Thanks- I love combing too. Always makes for a joy to spin. The boys do have really long fleece- t he two white guys especially. Probably should have given them a haircut this fall,, but we never quite got around to it. Hope it makes it through the winter without too much matting and such-

I missed Judith’s class today due to the bad weather, but she said I could come tomorrow! Yay!

So are you going to send our Cy Young award winner a picture of his namesake? T.

    P.S. Cool hat!

I didn’t realize she was doing a class in town this weekend. Dag. You know, I should send Felix a little congratulations note from our Felix. What a good idea 🙂
