Hats and other Distractions

It’s turns out that Huey’s swatch was so compelling that I just couldn’t stop.
When I ran out of Huey yarn, I dug some other compatible shetland out of the stash and made it into a hat.

It is so thick and toasty.
Probably too warm for spring,, so it might go into the “gifting” stash drawer for next winter.
(If I can keep it off my own head.)

No new pics of the gradient sweater yet. I’ve for both sleeves in the works, but progress has been slow of late.

And on the fence front, we put in the last 7 posts for the pasture perimeter on Saturday!
Should have gotten a picture of that, but didn’t think of it at the time, and it’s all rainy and nasty out there now.

Will document better once the sunshine reemerges.

Have a good week!

BEE-U-TEE-FULL hat! Congrats on the fencing; I still to skirt Dinah’s fleece so I can send you a sample. I’m having a hard time focusing on much waiting for lambs….

That wool has such a lovely shine to it. Beautiful hat and it really looks warm!

The sheen is really interesting. I haven’t noticed much of that in any other shetland I’ve worked with. It catches the light and the caramel color almost glows-

Nice Huey hat! But surely you have more Huey fleece still, right?

Oh yes. Lots more Huey fleece. The hat is just a warmup!
